Holly Willoughby shares behind-the-scenes look at the making of her ‘dream’ Christmas gown as she gushes about ‘ending the year on a high’

She was the centre of attention during Sunday night’s Dancing on Ice Christmas special, when she stepped before cameras wearing a decidedly low-cut dress.

And Holly Willoughby, 38, gave fans another sartorial treat Monday, when she took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of her eye-catching new Christmas gown.

In the video, the This Morning presenter was seen twirling through different stages of the garment’s creation as Mariah Carey’s enduring hit All I Want For Christmas played in the background.

Festive frock: Holly Willoughby took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of her eye-catching new Christmas gown on Monday

The dress went from plain white, then to red, before finally being seen in all of its faux fur-lined glory, with the blonde beauty dipping into a deep curtsey.

Captioning the clip, which was recorded at ITV’s London studio, the star gushed about ‘ending the year on a high’ as she also spoke about her one-off Christmas BBC special with Bradley Walsh, which is set to air on Tuesday.

The TV personality, who has three children with her husband Daniel Baldwin, wrote: ‘Ending the year on a high! Christmas dress of dreams “The Making”…

Her post comes one day after Holly sent viewers on Twitter went wild when she stepped out in a deeply plunging dress with her presenting partner Phillip Schofield on Sunday night’s Dancing On Ice special.

The presenter wowed in the maxi dress, which gave an ample view of her assets, prompting one viewer to ask if she was wearing her dress ‘back to front’.

They wrote: ‘Stouthearted! Holly’s got her dress on back to front #DancingOnIce’.

Behold, the creation: Her dress was then seen in its final form, in all of its faux fur-lined glory

Greetings: Holly ended the clip by dipping into a deep curtsy below a Christmas message

Another alluded to her nickname on Celebrity Juice, writing: ‘I see Holly’s got her Willowboobies Out.’

A third wrote: ‘Holly’s dress is rather distracting. #DancingOnIce.’

And a fourth besotted fan added: ‘Christ on a bike! Holly Willoughby might as well be topless wearing a dress like that! #Dancing On Ice’.

The festive special saw Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Matt Evers make history when they debuted as the show’s first ever same-sex pairing.

Moments after the ITV special aired, 43-year-old Steps star Ian took to Instagram to share an emotional post, in which he revealed he was brought to tears. 

Alongside a snapshot of himself and Matt, 43, he wrote: ‘Tonight has been emotional. I’ve cried tears of joy! Never did I think this would happen. But tonight, Matt & I have made a little piece of history!’ 

He continued: ‘Thankyou for all your messages of support and for letting me be my authentic self. Thanks to @itv for championing the LGBTQ community and its ally’s.
