Chloe Madeley hits out at trolls who slammed her I’m A Celeb star husband James Haskell

Chloe Madeley has hit back at online trolls after her husband, James Haskell, was branded a "bully" during his time on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

James, 34, was the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from the hit ITV show on Tuesday night after a number of clashes with his fellow campmates.

The rugby player butted heads with the likes of Jacqueline Jossa, Kate Garraway, Andrew Maxwell and Ian Wright during his time in the outback, labelling the camp as a "circus of stupidity."

His outbursts shifted the viewing public's perception of him and saw him evicted from the camp earlier this week.

Chloe, who previously defended James in an interview on This Morning, has now taken to Instagram to hit out at people that are leaving nasty comments about her husband online.

Posting a story about her husband to her 212,000 followers, she wrote over it: "If you've ever sent the loved one(s) of a TV contestant extreme abuse online, you are a very misinformed and misguided individual.

"But don't worry about it if you have to tho, we toasting all you trolls by the pool [sic]," alongside a number of celebratory emojis.

James took to This Morning on Wednesday to defend himself over his actions, telling hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "When you're in the jungle I think you've got to appreciate you've got 12 people from different walks of life, 12 people who have different standards and how they want to operate.

"Obviously, I went into that jungle with one idea and one idea only, which was to have fun and to challenge myself.

"I wasn’t aware before I went in that there was a King and Queen of the jungle, I didn't know about that competitive element."

He continued: "And the one thing I didn't want to do was, I am a big guy — 6 foot 3 inches, 19 odd stone — I didn't want to ever like try to take a leader role on, I didn't want to do that and I wanted everyone to have an equal say and opportunity, but I've been around team sports my entire life and sometimes debating stuff you can't debate is slightly frustrating.
