My girlfriend hasn’t spoken to me since I told her I don’t want more kids – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: LOUD and clear I’ve told my girlfriend I don’t want a second child.

Our first was planned and I was thrilled when she gave birth to a boy. I’m 26 and now know I don’t like parenting.

Our son is three and throws a tantrum if he doesn’t like something. He goes to pre-school two mornings a week and staff there say he’s an angel. I guess he saves his bad behaviour for us.

I love him but the thought of a second child fills me with dread. My girlfriend is 25. She’s barely spoken to me since I said how I feel.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your son sounds like a normal three-year-old reacting to mixed messages at home. You are his dad and your negative feelings will be coming through.

Being a parent is hard but there is help to be had. Tell your girlfriend you must work together to let your son know he is wanted and loved. Set firm boundaries.
