Between Bieber’s mental health struggles and the pressures that come with life in the spotlight, there’s no doubt that the young couple has experienced some extreme highs and low lows.
Still, the recent drama in the headlines might be the biggest scandal yet. Selena Gomez‘s new song “Lose You to Love Me” has caused a lot of raised eyebrows, but it was Hailey Baldwin’s response to the song that has many fans wondering whether or not Baldwin and Bieber will make it another year as a married couple.
When did Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin get married?
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin first met when they were both young teenagers, and Bieber’s career was just beginning. The two remained friends for years before things turned romantic. R
umors first started that they were dating in early 2015, but Baldwin dismissed the chatter, saying that they were “just friends.” Still, they were photographed kissing in January 2016, prompting many fans to believe that they were, in fact, dating. They parted ways for a while only to reconnect in early 2018, just after Bieber broke up with his longtime on and off girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
Things got serious really quickly between Bieber and Baldwin, and fans spotted them everywhere from church services to lowkey dinners on the town.
In July 2018, it was revealed that they had gotten engaged, and only a couple months after that, in September 2018, Bieber and Baldwin tied the knot in a low-key civil ceremony. They went on to have a larger ceremony with family and friends in September 2019.

Although Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have known each other for years, being married is a whole new adventure. They do seem very much in love and frequently gush about each other on social media.
Bieber has grown to rely on Baldwin a great deal, especially considering he has a history of mental health struggles. Still, when Selena Gomez’s new song, “Lose You to Love Me” was released in October 2019, fans started questioning how solid Baldwin and Bieber really are.
The song, which clearly references Gomez’s doomed relationship, went viral immediately. Hailey Baldwin posted a cryptic screenshot to her Instagram stories only a few minutes after Gomez’s song dropped – a picture of a song called “I’ll Kill You.” It seemed to be a direct dig at Gomez, and fans picked up on it right away.
Although Baldwin denied that the screenshot was related to Gomez’s song, calling the rumors “complete BS,” the moment seemed to speak for itself.

If Baldwin’s post was related to Gomez (and it certainly seems as though it was) it is a sign that she is still holding on to some jealousy.
After all, Baldwin received a lot of fan hatred after she initially started dating Bieber, with Bieber’s hardcore followers insisting that he should still be dating Selena Gomez instead.
Some sources have even claimed that Bieber misses Gomez and that he has regrets over the way their relationship ended.
While there are undoubtedly some bizarre things about Bieber and Baldwin’s relationship (including the fact that at one point in time, Baldwin totally supported Bieber and Gomez as a couple), there’s no way to say for sure whether or not this means their romance could fade away.
In this particular case, only time will tell.
