Alec Baldwin Thinks Felicity Huffman Shouldn’t Be in Jail: My Heart Goes Out to Her

The ’30 Rock’ actor supports the ‘Desperate Housewives’ alum and believes that serving jail time is too harsh for someone who got involved in college fraud cases.

AceShowbizAlec Baldwin has made it clear he doesn’t think Felicity Huffman should be behind bars as the first shots of the disgraced actress serving her prison sentence appear online.

The former “Desperate Housewives” star reported to the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California on Tuesday, October 15 after she was sentenced to 14 days for her involvement in the U.S. college admissions scandal.

And as images of her in green prison attire hit the Internet, Baldwin has taken to Twitter to offer up his support to the star and her husband, William H. Macy.

“I don’t think anyone involved in the college fraud cases should go to prison,” he tweeted. “That includes past cases as well. Community service, fines, yes. But prison time, no. My heart goes out to Felicity, Bill Macy and their family.”

Huffman pleaded guilty to paying disgraced admissions consultant Rick Singer to help her doctor her 19-year-old daughter Sophia’s test results in an effort to get her into an elite college.

Upon her release later this month, Felicity will face 250 hours of community service and a year of supervised release.

She is expected to serve 13 days of her 14-day sentence.
