A salon owner says he is shocked after a customer told her she was off to get some food halfway through an appointment – and then never came back.
The Plymouth salon owner called the police after the woman walked out on her full head tint and foils session
Devonport-based salon No 23 Hair and Beauty studio owner James Clarke said a woman came in for the treatment, which is usually priced at £70.
The woman booked under the name Helen Lee, which is now believed to be a false name.
After the stylist finished putting on the tint and foils, the woman claimed she would be going to the shop opposite to get some food and would return to eat it during the colour developing period, reports Plymouth Live .
However, the woman did not return and Mr Clarke said that the client has now ignored the salon's calls.
When she was called from a different number, she claimed she was someone else,
Mr Clarke said: "I am really upset with the way this lady has acted and I would hate for this to happen to any other salon.
"Our stylists are self-employed and when someone receives a service from them they deserve to be paid for it. Incidents like this have a big impact on small independent businesses like ours."
The woman had a photograph of her hair taken before it was treated, which Salon 23 has shared in the hope that she will come forward or somebody will recognise her.
Mr Clarke has reported the incident to the police.
