Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively’s Newborn Daughter Makes Her Social Media Debut — See The First

Ryan Reynolds knows exactly how to get the public’s attention!

On Wednesday, the Detective Pikachu actor shared a message to his Twitter about the Canadian elections and the importance of climate policy… while sharing the first pic of his and Blake Lively‘s newborn daughter!

At least, technically!

He covered up their youngest child’s face, but did scribble on a fake smile in true Reynolds fashion!

Captioning an adorable snap of them as a trio, the 42-year-old wrote:

“I love B.C. ?? I want my daughters to experience the same natural playground I grew up in. On Oct. 21, the candidate you vote for will SHAPE CLIMATE POLICY. I’m proud of the climate progress made the last 4 years. Click http://Elections.ca for voting info. #Capilano”

You can see the post AND his lovey-dovey photo (below):

As we previously reported, the couple welcomed their third baby months ago after the actress surprised fans and debuted her baby bump in May at the Detective Pikachu premiere! Earlier this month, an Us Weekly source shared she gave birth this summer, adding the baby is already “two months old.”

The tiny tot must be close to three months now!

Blake and Ryan have yet to share any details about their newest addition, though this post certainly confirms her arrival AND that she’s a girl. We can only hope they share her name!

Regardless, we’re sure the parents couldn’t have been more excited to give four-year-old daughter James and two-year-old daughter Inez a little sister.

Speaking to People in May, the Deadpool star opened up a little bit about what their family unit is like, and how he and the A Simple Favor actress make it work:

“Blake and I don’t do movies at the same time. If she is doing a movie in Thailand and I am doing a movie in Vancouver we would just never see each other. We operate as a unit, and that works really well for us… The kids stay with us, and the family stays together, and that is where home is. So if we are in Spain or Utah or New York, as long as we are together, we’re home.”

Unless, of course, they’re all on a flight together, in which case, he jokingly shared:

“Usually when I’m on an airplane with my kids, at some point I get up and ask the flight attendants if I can leave the aircraft… 99 percent of the time they say, ‘No, please stay seated!’ So I just sit back down and long for the sweet release of death.”

We can’t wait to hear his thoughts on what being a dad to three is like… because you know we can relate!!
