Niall Horan reveals the downside of international recognition and dream collab

After being rocketed to fame as one-fifth of the international supergroup, One Direction – Niall Horan is recognised across the globe by almost everybody.

Despite amassing a staggering fortune estimated at £46 million, countless awards and multiple number one hits, fame is not all it’s cracked up to be according to the Irish heartthrob.

Niall, 26, had a cosy chat with his 22 million Instagram followers yesterday afternoon during some downtime.

Taking to his Instagram story, the Nice To Meet Ya singer shared: "ask me something" – with fans flooding his notifications.

During his chat, a fan asked: "What’s the bad side of being famous?"

Which saw the hitmaker reply: "Walking out of a hotel is hard.

"Something that sounds simple, isn’t ahahaha."

One Direction mania hit after the group came third on The X Factor in 2010 – which saw them amassed a legion of dedicated fans.

During their film, One Direction: This Is Us, Niall shows the camera crew the army of thousands of fans outside their Italian hotel before being mobbed as the band go on a shopping trip.

When leaving their hotel, fans of the group who had camped to catch a glimpse of them pulled on their clothes and hair as security members ushered them into their waiting cars.

In 2012, during a trip to Manhattan – Liam Payne tweeted: "That wasn’t even funny."

Irish lad Niall tweeted: "This is a complete joke… ridic… Day off wana chill (sic)".

The This Town singer went on to add that he had given up drinking for October "so I can see an ab for the first time in my life and potentially the last time as well."

Ahead of the impending release of his second solo album, a fan asked the star who he would like to collaborate with. Niall replied: "Rosalia, Billie Eilish Lewis Capaldi."

His latest single, Nice To Meet Ya was released last week – co-written by pal and songwriting legend, Ruth Anne Cunningham, the master behind Work B***h by Britney and Too Little Too Late by Jojo.
