Ariana Grande is once again the top contender for the MTV Europe Music Awards with seven nominations, including for best artist, best video for “thank u, next,” as well as best song.
Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish and seasoned EMA veteran Shawn Mendes are close behind her with 6 nominations each.
J Balvin was nominated in five categories, while Lizzo and Taylor Swift earned four each.
Grande, J Balvin, Miley Cyrus, Mendes and Swift are competing for the best artist award.
The awards will go to the artists who get the most votes in online voting by fans on mtvema.com and through social media.
The winners will be announced at the 2019 MTV EMA award nite to be held on November 3 at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Center in Seville, Spain.
