A portrait of Hollywood actor Channing Tatum that features a loving depiction of the Magic Mike star’s scrotum, has sold online for more than $6,000.
The painting, executed in oils by Los Angeles artist Chris Mann, shows the White House Down star reclining in a chair and wearing a long-sleeved great sweater. And that’s all.
Tatum’s sultry gaze draws the viewer’s eye, but only momentarily before the focus strays down to his thigh, where his plums peep out playfully at the beholder and come to dominate the image.
Originally listed on the auction site with a reserve of just $230 (£185), brisk bidding saw the oil-on-wood masterpiece eventually sell for the equivalent of £5,300 to an anonymous bidder.
The eBay description told how the portrait was “lovingly painted in rich tones and fine brushwork” and that the image was “charged with emotional resonance, rife with sensuality.”
Certainly if your idea of emotional resonance and bold sensuality involves a gentleman’s ballsack popping out from behind his leg, that description is entirely fair.

Chris Mann’s other works include a fetishistic tribute to 90s sitcom The Golden Girls and a nude painting of iconic American comedienne Lucille Ball.
He also raised eyebrows with his speculative portraits of other stars. His painting of Chris Isaak paid special attention to the singer’s substantial todger, for example, as did his rendition of the current big-screen Mr Spock, Zachary Quinto.
