The businessman explained, during his pitch to the dragons, that he created the chocolate as his two young daughters had food intolerances and he wanted to create a product that they could enjoy.

‘Its been heartbreaking for me when I have to monitor what they eat. I wanted to find a healthier chocolate alternative that we could all enjoy – so that’s when I started experimenting – and my children loved it,’ he said.

He went on to admit that the company had turned over half a million pounds in the first year – just via sales from their website.

All of the judges looked impressed, with them all noticing the passion and drive in his pitch.

However some fans of the show weren’t as impressed by the idea, with one saying: ‘Healthy chocolate!?!?….as if! There’s no such thing…#dragonsden

While another joked: ‘On the rare occasion you find me eating #Chocolate you better believe it’s going to be full of sugar and unhealthy, that’s the point! #DragonsDen’

Peter Jones was the first to show some interest and said: ‘I’m a chocolate man. I’ve not tasted chocolate this good for a while – but is this a business opportunity?’

He quickly came to the conclusion that it was:’I can do all the things you need – and I can do it with passion drive and enthusiasm – as I like it that much.’
