Sunderland and Ipswich in transfer chase for Aberdeen star Scott Wright – The Sun

ABERDEEN forward Scott Wright is being chased by Ipswich and Sunderland.

The 22-year-old made 31 appearances last season netting three times having recovered from a knee injury at the start of the term.

After spending the first half of the campaign with Abderden the versatile attacker was then loaned out to Dundee where he scored his trio of goals.

Ipswich made a move for the versatile attacker last term but saw their approach rebuffed by The Dons.

SunSport understands Portman Road chiefs have now re-ignited their interest but face competition from Sunderland.

Both English sides look to take the Scot – who can play out wide or in the No10 – on a permanent deal.

Aberdeen will demand £500,000 for the 22-year-old.

The playmaker had competed in all Scotland’s youth team, scoring for both the Under-17’s and 19’s squad.

He has made a further five caps for the Under-21’s having debuted in 2017.
