Renovations on Katie Price’s £1.5million ‘mucky mansion’ has appeared to grind to a halt as she faces up to £20,000 in fines after allegedly failing to get planning permission for a gym, beauty studio and horse area.

In recently published pictures of the West Sussex home, the former glamour model’s adobe was strewn with a broken netted fence, plies of soil and scaffolding, just months after kicking off renovations worth a whopping £250,000.

Over the past year, the TV personality’s house stood decrepit and unkempt with abandoned facilities and overgrown grounds amid her financial woes.

Katie’s mansion recently boasted a perfectly-preened garden as she began to pick up her life back up following a few turbulent months, but work has now come to a standstill after failing to receive planning permission from authorities.

The images show mounds of dirt in her back garden, broken kitchen appliances scattered around her field and a ‘Morning Bite’ food van parked along the former I’m A Celeb’s driveway.

After a three week investigation, planning enforcement offices concluded that the development was a ‘breach of planning control’ and issued a temporary stop notice to stop the development from continuing. Katie will be able to continue with the renovations if she gets permission.

Documents reveal that the mother-of-five undertook various engineering works to change the height of the land at her property as well as creating an entrance at the southern end of her property.

In planning documents, Horsham District Council concluded: ‘The council considers that there has been a breach of planning control.

‘This temporary stop is issued by the council, in exercise of their power in Section 17E of the 1990 Town and Country Planning Act because they think that it is expedient that the activity specified in this notice should cease.

‘The alleged unauthorised development would have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the area.’

If the 2015 CBB winner ignores the stop notice, the council say that she may be at risk of immediate prosecution in Magistrates Court and be ordered to pay up to £20,000 in fines.

She was once said to be worth £40 million from a career as a model, author, and businesswoman. Council documents reveal planning enforcement offices launched a probe on Friday, July 12.

An eyesore: The images show mounds of dirt in her back garden and broken kitchen appliances scattered around her field

Earlier this year, Katie took desperate measures to clean her abode as she enlisted the help of her estranged husband Kieran Hayler, aired on the latest series of My Crazy Life.

In December last year, the Free To Love Again musician avoided bankruptcy after coming to an agreement over her tax bill and a close pal allegedly loaned the star £22,000 to bail her out. The High Court was told that the petition to make her bankrupt had been dismissed.

Her case was heard at a specialist insolvency and companies court in Central London, which estimated her total debts ranged from £250,000 to £500,000. She was not at the court for the hearing, which lasted less than two minutes.

Deputy Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Middleton said at the time: ‘This case has been dismissed after the parties concerned reached an out of court agreement.

Court costs of £881 are to be paid in accordance with the terms of the IVO (Individual Voluntary Agreement).’ Outside court, a spokesman for HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) added: ‘We are not the lead creditors in this case, but we are happy with the agreement. I can’t tell you who the other creditors are in this case at the minute.

‘We don’t have a specific date for the first payment and the amount has not been decided. Katie Price was not obliged to turn up to this court hearing today.’

They don’t have a home: Baby car seats, bags of clothes and abandoned home decor have been kept at her doorstep

While Katie announced her engagement to toyboy beau Kris Boyson, 31, in July, the TV star recently faced a fresh set of woes as she plead guilty to verbally abusing her ex-partner Kieran’s new girlfriend, Michelle Penticost, in a school playground in front of shocked teachers and pupils.

Paul Edwards, prosecuting, told the court during the row – which took place in front of young children and was witnessed by a teacher – that Katie was witnessed hurling a ‘tirade of abuse’ including shouting ‘f****** c***’ multiple times at both women.

The outspoken star previously said she was ‘definitely not guilty’ of using threatening and abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Shipley on September 6 last year.

Paul Macauley, defending, said the outburst was prompted by Katie’s discovery days earlier that Michelle was in a relationship with Kieran.

Ordering her to pay £606 – including a £415 fine and court costs – chairman of the bench Michael Harris said a five-year restraining order forbidding her from contacting Michelle directly or indirectly was ‘appropriate for this unpleasant event’.

Magistrates denied an application for compensation for the victims, saying this was ‘actually potentially inflammatory’.
