TOWIE bosses ‘in talks with original cast to sign them up for one-off 10-year anniversary reunion’

It is set to celebrate its 10-year anniversary next year.

And to mark the huge milestone, producers of The Only Way Is Essex are said to be in talks with the show’s original cast to sign them up for a one-off special.

The first series of the show aired back in 2010, propelling the likes of Amy Childs, Mark Wright, Lauren Goodger, Sam and Billie Faiers into the limelight.

A TV source told The Sun: ‘Towie’s ten years anniversary is coming up next year and bosses want to mark it in some way.

‘It been a cultural phenomenon really and some of the original cast members have gone down in reality TV history.

‘No one is entirely sure what they will do or if any of the cast mates will agree to come back but at the moment it’s a case of never say never.’

MailOnline has contacted TOWIE for comment.

Last week, Amy Childs teased fans when she reunited with Mark Wright at the famous jaunt Sheesh nightclub in Chigwell.

She wrote: ‘The King and Queen of Towie! Exciting times ahead, let’s do this,’ alongside a winking face emoji.

Delighted by the mini reunion, the post was littered with comments from excited viewers.

One wrote: ‘Would be so cool and Jess, Lucy, Charlie and Fern…. Mario…. and bring back the Pope… and maybe mick could do a couple episodes … ‘

Another typed: ‘Looks like their back for the 10 year anniversary’, while a third chimned: ‘old school TOWIE reunion? Don’t mind if I do’.

A fourth added: ‘OMG does this mean something?’
