GOODWOOD hosts a cracking Friday evening card.
The Grogger Handicap looks a minefield on first viewing, but SAVITAR (7.05 Goodwood) makes appeal at big odds.
Jim Boyle's lightly-raced four-year-old has had excuses in his two starts since moving from Jim Bolger's stable.
He badly missed the break on his stable debut when seventh, and he did too much too soon over 7f at Lingfield last time out.
The drop back to 6f is a big plus and he has been well-drawn towards the stands rail in this big field.
He is still open to improvement and should prove better than his current mark.
