There probably weren’t many people who could convince the Jonas Brothers to reunite after six long years, but leave it to Sophie Turner, the Queen of the North, to make it a thing. In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Joe said she was a huge part of what inspired it.
Joe saw how close she was with her own brothers, which made him realize he needed to fix what was going on with his.
“It encouraged me to see she had such a great relationship with her brothers,” he said. “That was really a big thing for me to be able to look at and say, ‘I gotta get my shit together.’”
When the brothers broke up the band in 2013, they were in a really bad place. In their new documentary, Chasing Happiness, he said that even when they were still a unit, they weren’t getting along. “We hate each other basically,” he said.
And then they broke up, which made things even worse. “Right after the band split up, I didn’t know if we would ever speak again,” Nick said.
But now that they’re reunited and the entire world is really effing excited about it, the guys realize how crazy it is that it even happened. “Being back with the Jonas Brothers? I truly never thought it would happen,” Kevin said.
And, like, THANK GOD it did.
