Rebecca Judd’s $50,000 mistake: AFL WAG reveals her Range Rover is ‘too big’ for the garage of her Melbourne home – as she takes fans on a guided tour of the lavish $7.3million property

Rebecca Judd knows a thing or two about first-world problems.
On Thursday, the footy WAG spoke to KIIS 101.1’s Jase and PJ about the new home in Melbourne she is renovating with her husband Chris.
In a rather revealing comment, she spoke of her surprise and disappointment that her Range Rover was too big to fit in the garage.

Rebecca said she ‘couldn’t even get the nose in’ when she tried to drive her luxury vehicle into the garage of her Brighton home.
While she loves the $7.3million property, the Postcards host said the garage issue was ‘a major snag’.
She explained that she and Chris, whose car also couldn’t fit inside, didn’t think to measure the garage when looking at houses back in early 2018.

‘When you go to home inspections, you never think to drive your cars into the garage to see if they fit or not,’ Rebecca said.
‘If you’re listening, measure the garage!’ she added, offering a word of advice.
She explained that the main issue with the garage was the ‘huge column’ situated in-between the roller doors that stopped cars from entering.

In order to fix the problem, Rebecca and Chris had to spend around $50,000 to ‘knock out the column’ so they could drive in and out.
The former weather presenter justified the decision by saying ‘it wouldn’t be a dream home if the cars were on the street!’
Meanwhile, Rebecca offered fans a guided tour of her new home on Thursday during an episode of Channel Nine’s The Style School.

‘We bought this house to accommodate our really big family,’ she said.
‘The most important goal for this renovation was to create a house that ticked all the boxes in terms of what we needed for a functional family home.
‘Bedrooms, bathrooms and enough living space so we weren’t on top of each other, but [also so] we could also really enjoy gorgeous family time together’.

She then walked around the kids’ bedrooms, revealing that twins Tom and Darcy, two, will be sharing a room, while her five-year-old daughter Billie and seven-year-old son Oscar will each have their own.
The four children will share one large bathroom between them, with Rebecca joking it will be divided down the middle with a ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ side.

Open plan: Returning downstairs, Rebecca continued, ‘The kitchen overlooks the dining area, which overlooks the pool, which flows seamlessly into what will be the new lounge room!’
She added that the couple decided to put the children’s bedrooms upstairs because it’s ‘important to separate [the] entertaining areas from our family zone’.

‘It will feature a bar, a billiards table and a big screen TV to watch the footy,’ she said, explaining her plans for the area.
Rebecca added that she and Chris plan to build an extension across the existing patio leading towards the tennis court, which will house a gym.
‘What we’re doing is building a gym which will run from one end to the other. Now, at this end of the gym, we’re going to build a tennis clubhouse,’ she explained.

The Judds appear to be sparing no expense when it comes to their renovation.
They previously revealed plans to install a ‘MagnaPool’, a magnesium mineral pool system that’s said to help alleviate aches and pains and soothe one’s skin.

Rebecca, a former Channel Nine weather girl, told 9Honey in February that they bought the house based on its distinctive ‘arches’.
‘The arches – that’s why we bought the house – I died at the arches. That was the main selling point for us in terms of design features,’ she said.
They had previously sold their former home in Brighton for a reported $5million.
