This season of Little People, Big World is already coming to a close, and fans still can’t get enough of the Roloffs. While Matt and Amy Roloff started the show as a happily married little couple raising their four kids and working together on Roloff Farms, a ton has changed over the years. Not only are Matt and Amy now divorced, but the fate of Roloff Farms is still hanging in the balance. Matt has made it clear he’s all for selling it, but Amy remains indecisive in what she wants for the property and her future.
Fans have been watching LPBW for 14 years, so they’re just as invested in the property as the Roloffs are. And it seems they don’t want Amy to sell the property at all. Here’s what they’re saying.
Roloff Farms has been the hot topic of conversation on this season of LPBW
Roloff Farms is at the center of one of the main storylines on this season of LPBW. When Amy and Matt first started the show, they shared the big farmhouse on the property. And even post-divorce, they’re still both living on Roloff Farms land, though Amy resides in the big house while Matt and his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, are living in a smaller home.
There’s no doubt Amy has conflicted feelings about the farm — but Matt seems to have a pretty straightforward view of what he wants. He’s stated on the show that the farm requires a ton of upkeep. “There’s part of me that wants to keep the farm and build a house that suits me, but part of me just wants to sell the farm and liquidate it and move on. It’s a burden,” Matt mentioned on the show. And ever since he’s made his decision with what he wants to do, he’s been pressuring Amy to also decide whether she wants to stay in the big house or sell it altogether.
Fans are urging Amy to keep the farm
Amy has yet to make a decision on the farm — and it’s been driving Matt to call Amy’s indecisiveness “selfish.” As for why she’s so conflicted, she’s said on episodes in the past that having the big farmhouse gave her “permanency, I had a place, I had something that I could hang on to, grasp, in order to figure out ‘I’m officially divorced.’”
Amy’s divorce has long since past, however, so it may be best for her to move on and start fresh with her boyfriend Chris Marek. Her fans are urging her on Instagram to keep the farm, however, as they see it as a LPBW staple and think her grandchildren will love to have it in their lives as they grow up, too.
After Amy posted a photo of her family for Memorial Day, one fan commented, “Looks like you stayed on the farm. Hope you did!” And another added, “Stay on that farm. It is yours, not that Caryn, you need to keep the big house, it was built for you, girl. It would make a great bed and breakfast, and you cook great.” Yet another said, “There’s no way I’d leave my home Amy, keep it for the grandkids your kids and most important your memories and your future.”
Instagram users think Amy chose to hold on to the property after all
We’re not yet sure what Amy has decided for the farm property yet, but fans seem to think Amy kept the property. Her Memorial Day post looks like it took place on the farm property, and she also posted this photo to her Instagram of her next to the Roloff Farms sign back in April. If she truly got rid of the property, we doubt she’d be taking these photos and posting them online. And since the show’s events took place about a year ago, this also gives us a clue that the farm is still in the Roloff’s possession.
It’s not just Amy who’s posted evidence that the Roloffs still have the farm property, either. Matt Roloff posted this photo of him and his grandson, Jackson, working on the farm in Mid-May. It looks like the fans who want the little Roloffs to experience the beautiful farm will get what they’re wishing for.
