Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch welcome fourth child and cause a stir by joking he’s named after a Liverpool FC player and a CURRY house

  • However, the footballer, 38, was simply winding his fans up with his suggestion that he had named his new son Divock Samrat after Liverpool FC player, Divock Origi and his favourite curry house 
  • Minutes later, Peter took to Twitter once again to say: ‘Our boy is beautiful the name is still to be clarified unfortunately Abs not going for Divock Samrat’ 
  • The couple are also parents to daughters Sophia, seven and Liberty, four, as well as Johnny, 17 months 

Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch have welcomed their fourth child. 

The footballer shared a picture of their son on Twitter on Tuesday and wrote: ‘Our beautiful baby boy was born Monday 3rd June mother and baby Divock Samrat Crouch are doing well.’

Minutes later, Peter took to Twitter once again to say: ‘Our boy is beautiful the name is still to be clarified unfortunately Abs not going for Divock Samrat.’ 

Abbey took to Instagram later in the day to share more snaps of their newborn that she captioned: ‘Welcome to the world darling boy. born 3rd June 3.44pm weighing 7lb.5 now home safe and sound x’

The couple are also parents to daughters Sophia, seven and Liberty, four, as well as Johnny, 17 months.

Last month, Abbey, 33, had taken to Instagram to confess she was ‘about to pop,’ as she cradled her blossoming baby bump.

The model had donned a casual shirt over her bump as she posed in her lavish mansion, while her three children could be seen larking about in the background.

She highlighted her amazing figure in the relaxed white shirt, as she told fans: ‘I am literally am about to pop.’

Peter recently recorded a podcast from his favourite curry house – Samrat on Ealing’s Pitshanger Lane, where he spoke about the Crouch’s family history at the acclaimed eaterie.

Crouch, who grew up round the corner from the Indian restaurant, has been a regular there since childhood.

He told his podcast co-hosts, Tom Fordyce and Chris Stark, that he’d been ‘coming here for a very long time’. 

He continued: ‘My mum and my dad and my sister are here [on the night of the recording] and all my friends from primary school are here and we are now in the same place where I’ve sat for all those years but now there’s cameras, there’s microphones and there’s mascots [there were two football mascots sitting at the adjacent table].’  

Abbey and Peter announced they were expecting in January, a day before their son Johnny’s first birthday.

She previously told You magazine: ‘I was on a photoshoot and the photographer, a woman who I work with a lot, said, ”Your boobs look really big.” And I said, ”Actually I was thinking that.”

‘Then I looked at my diary and thought, ”Oh, no.”

‘I mean, (youngest son) Johnny wasn’t even one yet and I’ve been so ill with my other pregnancies that I thought I wouldn’t be able to spend any time with him, and I’m just gone with love for him, I’ve been enjoying having a son so much.’

The revelation came after the star told MailOnline last year she and Peter had no plans for another child.

She said: ‘I think I’m so lucky, I have three healthy kids and I’ve got two girls and one boy, but no I don’t want another one… 

‘If it happens it wouldn’t be the end of the world, but going through what I went through being pregnant with Johnny it definitely does put me off a bit. It was quite a bad time but worth it in the end.’
