The App Store plays host to a legion of programmes, games and more that Apple fans can download instantly.
But it appears this afternoon the marketplace is experiencing an outage, confirmed by Apple’s system status page.
The American tech giant has stated the App Store for iPad, iPhone and Mac are “experiencing a problem”.
Apple stated it is “investigating” the matter.
Independent outage monitor Downdetector has registered over 480 reports at one time from users this afternoon claiming the App Store was not working as it should be.
In response to the issues plaguing the App Store, a number of Apple fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment.
One said: “My App Store is down, is it only me or everyone else is experiencing it also?”
Another wrote: “Is the App Store down? When I am trying to search or download apps it says, ‘Cannot connect to App Store.’
“I already tried to restart, sign out then sign back in with Apple ID, not working still. Please help. Thanks.”
A third declared: “Is the iOS app store search down? Apple?
“I’m getting connection failures on search but browsing is fine.”
In addition to the App Store, the American tech giant’s system status page has also declared Apple Music is experiencing an outage.
Once again, the Mountain View firm stated it is “investigating” the situation.
