A Las Vegas wedding which was at risk of being ruined due to a gaffe at an airport has been rescued after a public appeal.
Yesterday a woman sent out a call-out to anyone who was travelling to Vegas before Monday after a group left the groom's suit at Dublin Airport.
She explained that the suit (and shoes) has sentimental value, reports Dublin Live .
She said: "Help Irish Twitter ! Is anyone flying from Dublin to Las Vegas before Monday?
"My friend is getting married and they have forgotten the groom's suit (with shoes in the bag) in Dublin Airport. Please RT and save a panicking couple! Thanks in advance."
She went on to say they had even calculated flying back overnight, but the cost was high and it wasn't guarunteed they'd manage to get the suit.
She said: "We need a human basically".
And Rebecca Doyle came forward and help put the wedding plans back on track.
She replied to the appeal saying: "I'm flying Sunday morning! Let me know if I can help!".
Fittingly, her Twitter bio reads: "When you can't find the sunshine, be the sunshine".
The original appealer wrote: "Thank-you Irish Twitter! I can't wait to tell the couple (who are in the air as we tweet, with no idea that you all know about them)!!!"
