The Only Way Is Essex beauty Sam Faiers has revealed when The Mummy Diaries will be back on screen.
The stunning 28 year old confirmed the news fans were waiting for online, after the huge success of sister Billie Faiers’ wedding special.
Sam wrote to her 1.19 million fans: “Excited to share with you all we’re back filming today for SERIES 6 of the #MummyDiaires!!”
Confirming when it would be back on screen, she added: “Will be back on @ITVBe this autumn.”
Fans were very excited with the news, with one writing: “Can’t WAIT!” while another gushed: “Yay can’t wait. I hate having to wait cos it feels weirdly like I’m missing my friends. Like you’ve moved away and you come back for holidays lol!”
Rumours emerged only recently that the show had been signed up for two more years, but there was no confirmation from the duo.
A source exclusively told MailOnline: “ITV have recommissioned The Mummy Diaries until at least 2021 in a mega bucks deal for the girls."
The last episode of the show marked a milestone moment for the girls, as it documented Billie and Greg Shepherd’s wedding in all its entirety.
The couple spoke about their big day in an exclusive interview with OK! magazine, where Billie revealed that their fairytale wedding on the island of Kuramathi in The Maldives was the best day of her life.
She said: “Other than the days that Nelly and Arthur were born, it was the best day of my life.
"It was like a fairy tale – all the stress and tears were worth it."
She continued: “It’s so lovely for me to finally be a Shepherd and share a surname with my children. Marriage ties our little family together completely."
