OnePlus fans are set for huge day today with the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro about to be unveiled by the Chinese smartphone start-up.

OnePlus are breaking tradition and for the first time are set to launch two new Android smartphones at simultaneous events across the globe.

OnePlus will be holding three launch events in London, New York and Bangalore today that will reveal the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.

The OnePlus 7 is rumoured to be an evolutionary upgrade to the OnePlus 6T while the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to be a radical upgrade.

The OnePlus 7 Pro could feature a triple rear camera as well as a screen that covers ever corner of the device, according to leaks.

This means that it looks like it’ll be bye bye to the notch with the OnePlus 7 Pro, which will instead allegedly feature a pop-up selfie camera.

Tickets for the OnePlus 7 launch events quickly sold out, but if you want to watch all the action unfold live then you’ll be able to do so for free.

There will be a live stream of the OnePlus 7 launch event on the Android smartphone maker’s YouTube channel.

In terms of specs, OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 7 Pro will be 5G compatible and boast an OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

While leaked specs have indicated that the OnePlus Pro will sport a 6.67inch screen and could have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

It’s also expected to have a Snapdragon 855 chipset as well as 48MP, 16MP and 8MP rear cameras.

It’s also rumoured that the OnePlus 7 could have a beefy 4,000mAh battery as well as 16MP front-facing camera.

Ahead of the OnePlus 7 launch fans have been given a teaser for what the Pro’s camera is capable of.

National Geographic posted on Instagram a stunning shot of the Russian River in California which was taken with the OnePlus 7.

Speaking about the picture, Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus, said: “With the OnePlus 7 Pro, I believe we have raised the bar in camera technology. With this association with National Geographic.

“We wanted to push the limits of what our camera is capable of and we believe that the professional National Geographic photographers did just that.

“We are very excited to showcase the results from this partnership and hope that our users will be as excited about the camera on the OnePlus 7 pro as we are.”

A release date for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 looks set to be confirmed during the upcoming live stream today.

And ahead of it OnePlus have revealed that there will be pop-up events taking place in the coming days where fans can pick up a OnePlus 7.

The OnePlus 7 pop-up event in the UK will take place in London on May 17 at John Lewis on Oxford Street.

The OnePlus 7 event will start at 12pm UK time and finish at 8pm.

Ahead of the OnePlus 7 launch event Three have revealed that they will soon be adding OnePlus devices to its range of available smartphones.

It’s rumoured that prices for the OnePlus 7 Pro could start from €699, which is just over £606.
