The recently-reunited Jonas Brothers made a big announcement today. The trio revealed the official tour dates for their upcoming 40-concert, North American Happiness Begins Tour.
The tour will begin on May 7th in Miami, Florida. Tickets will go on sale next week.
In a bit of a surprise, the Happiness Begins Tour will apparently also be taking one relatively big name in pop out on the road as a supporting act. Bebe Rexha has signed out to do the whole North American tour with the JoBros, with Jordan McGraw also joining as a second featured act.
The signing of Bebe Rexha — who likely would have been able to carry at least a successful smaller theater tour on her own — follows a trend set by Taylor Swift on her Reputation Tour when she signed a very hot Camila Cabello — along with Charli XCX — as a supporting act to ensure even more local fan support and assistance with promotion throughout the concert schedule.
In return for signing on as a “premium” supporting act, Bebe will likely have to do less of the heavy lifting with the planning and administrative details of the tour. She will also benefit from exposure to the Jonas Brothers fanbase, which is thought to be much larger than her own loyal group of ‘Rexhars.’ And by combining together, the Jonas Brothers and Bebe may be able to play some bigger venues that they might each struggle on their own to fill.
