Line of Duty fans were left horrified tonight as Ted Hastings went rogue, pretended to be 'H' and was then arrested for being 'H'.
What a night!
Throughout series five, the finger has pointed towards the head of AC-12, but fans are convinced that Hastings is being framed – and they reckon they know who by.
Fans are convinced that the person framing him could, in actual fact, be his former smug lover Gill Biggeloe.
One tweeted: "Convinced H is a woman , either Gill or maybe even Kate starting not to trust her. #LineOfDuty #hastingsisinnocent."
While another commented: "I do not trust Gill..she is up to her neck in it. I mean which bent copper worth his salt running an OCG would use his own initals?! #H #LineOfDuty #FreeTed."
A third remarked: "Hastings is not H! Actually felt quite sad for him in that episode my moneys on it being a woman….Gill!! Cannot wait for next week!! #LineOfDuty #bbcone."
"Ted can’t possibly be H that smug boiled ham Gill Bigalow is definitely instrumental in all of this #LineOfDuty," another wrote.
One commented: "Hastings isn't bent. I suspect Gill may be behind his framing, although i notice that Carmichael's first name is Helen… Also suspecting Kate which is something i never wanted to do. I can't wait a week #LineOfDuty."
Another wrote: "I’m going to throw it out there. I think Gill is H. I don’t know what my logic is but that’s how I feel. Shifty wee cow #LineofDuty."
However Hastings' shifty behaviour still raises some questions – predominantly his Northern Irish link to John Corbett and his secret interview with Lee Banks…
Is Hastings bent? Or is he being set up?
