Kylian Mbappe rejects Real Madrid… but promises to watch Zinedine Zidane's side on TV

KYLIAN MBAPPE has promised to keep a close eye on Real Madrid – but only as a spectator on TV.

The French forward, 20, committed his future to Paris Saint-Germain yesterday.

Speaking to Canal+, he said: "Yes, I am sure to stay – I am invested here in this project.

"Good for Real Madrid that they have Zinedine Zidane – I will tune in to their matches as an admirer."

Mbappe, 20, netted a hat-trick in PSG's 3-1 win over his former club Monaco last night.

His first came as he rounded off a lightning counter before tucking into the bottom corner and then completing his treble with a simple tap in.

The win was the perfect was to celebrate their sixth title in seven seasons, confirmed earlier on Sunday when second-placed Lille were held to a 0-0 draw by Toulouse.

But even more pleasing for the PSG faithful will be Mbappe's comments afterwards, pledging his allegiance to the club.

He has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and would be the big-name signing Madridistas are crying out for after a difficult season.

But even with compatriot Zidane back in the dugout, Mbappe is clearly happy to stay at the Parc des Princes – for now.

He is under contract in the French capital until 2022 after joining permanently on a four-year deal last summer in a £162million move.

And being able to hold on to one of the best players in the world despite interest from the Spanish giants will be a huge statement from PSG, who are still under pressure to translate their domestic dominance into success on the European stage.

As well as Mbappe's dedication and the confirmation of the Ligue 1 title there was more good news for PSG – who wore special shirts for Notre-Dame – as Neymar made his first appearance in three months.

The Brazilian star came off the bench at half-time to return to action. He damaged his metatarsal in January and was forced to miss both legs of the Champions League defeat to Manchester United.
