A YOUNG boy has died in hospital after being ploughed into by a car in a horror hit-and-run in South East London.
Josh Osborne, 11, was struck by the car in Orpington on Saturday but sadly passed away in hospital this morning.
The car involved in the collision didn't stop immediately after the tragedy but later came to a halt nearby.
A 73-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and making off from the scene of an accident but was later released under investigation.
Paramedics battled to save Josh at the scene before he was rushed to a hospital in East London.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking witnesses to contact police on 101, or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD6316/13Apr.
