Twitch has exciting plans for its platform and Twitch Sings, built from the ground up by Twitch for Twitch and its community.
Twitch Sings is a new karaoke platform that people can use for either party games or to entertain their community.
The platform itself will be a separate piece of software to Twitch and will only release for PC at first. You can watch Twitch Sings anywhere on Twitch and also interact on any device, so your community will not feel left out.
Twitch Sings allows streamers to go live with a single click of a button without the need of OBS and other 3rd party software. They will then be ported into a virtual concert where they can sing solo or duet with other streamers.
If you are camera shy you can create an alter ego in the form of an animated avatar. This avatar will also be used for in-crowd interactions in other streams, so if you subscribe to a streamer it will pan down to your avatar doing a dance and celebrating that action.
Twitch Sings will launch with just under 2000 songs and have a dedicated team to increase this and maintain the rights to these songs.
“You can create playlists and can also set up your personal favourites. No one wants to sing something unless it's for comedy value that they don’t like.” said Joel Wade, Exec producer, Twitch Sings.
Twitch chat can even vote on a choice of songs for you to sing and all the votes are counted in real time. Chat can cheer you on to trigger an Ovation from the crowd. There are animations for all the normal twitch monetisation options like bits bursting across the screen and emotes from chat floating behind you as you sing.
They have already had Twitch community influencer BrianBBright become their first Partnered streamer from Twitch Sings. So the platform is streamer focused and really encouraging them to jump in and have fun with the community.
Twitch Sings is free to download and available for PC now.
