Emmy winner Lena Waithe is joining Westworld season 3.
The writer-actor has been cast in the next season of HBO’s acclaimed sci-fi drama, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
There are no details yet about her role.
Waithe is the creator of Showtime’s The Chi, a writer on BET’s Boomerang and made history as the first black woman to win the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series due to her work on Netflix’s Master of None.
Waithe joins Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as a newcomer to the show for season 3.
Westworld is currently filming and doesn’t currently have a release date (a 2020 premiere seems very likely).
