Dr. Jessica Not Returning to MAFS After Revealing Relationship with Season 6's Jon Francetic

Married at First Sight‘s panel of experts is getting a shakeup next season.

Dr. Jessica Griffin — who has become a familiar face counseling the newlyweds on Lifetime’s hit reality show — is out next season, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The news come after she and season six castmate Jon Francetic revealed they had struck up a romance following his time on the show.

“Jessica and Jon are very happy together. She wants to focus on her family and their relationship,” says a friend of the couple, who adds that they began dating more than five months after Francetic’s season wrapped.

Francetic, a financial associate, was paired with commercial insurance adjuster Molly Duff, but the exes called it quits on decision day. They finalized their divorce after filming for the show wrapped.

After receiving flack from fans, Francetic also defended their relationship on Twitter, writing: “The funny part is that every time we tell someone the actual timeline in person, ‘scandalous’ is never the word they use. Too bad we aren’t allowed to tell the truth on social media…”

Since they went public with their relationship, the couple have shown off plenty of PDA on social media.

“I am my most happy and content self when surrounded by the ocean. So you must understand, it’s not the blue of ocean I see in your eyes. It’s love, pure love,” gushed Francetic on Instagram last fall.

Griffin has also shared photos of her boyfriend with her kids (from a previous relationship) and recently thanked him for being so supportive.

“I know you never planned on signing up for the glamorous life of Lysol and five year old tears — yet you always have my back and make my heart expand in ways I never thought possible,” she wrote on Instagram last month.
