Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season two on Netflix features a lot of mythology, but one of the major developments sees Sabrina Spellman (played by Kiernan Shipka) discover the Herald of Hell prophecy. The Herald of Hell prophecy predicts that she will bring the Dark Lord (Luke Cook) to the Earth and open the gates of Hell. The Netflix series ends with the Herald of Hell prophecy not fulfilled, but that does not mean that Sabrina season three will not see her bring on the apocalypse.
What is the Herald of Hell prophecy in Sabrina?

The Herald of Hell prophecy is first mentioned in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season two, episode two, The Passion of Sabrina Spellman.
In that episode, the Dark Lord comes to visit Lilith/Mrs Wardwell (Michelle Gomez).
He tells her: “The gates of hell will be thrown open…Sabrina will be my herald, my prophet on earth.”

Later on in the season, a mosaic is discovered in the mines under Greendale featuring a white-haired girl surrounded by the hordes of Hell.
When Sabrina finds this, she says to herself: “I’m the Herald of Hell…I am evil.”
This is seconded by another prophecy found by Nicholas Scratch (Gavin Leatherwood), which talks of a: “half shadow girl who will precipitate the end of days by performing a series of satanic perversions that mock the Nazarene’s path on Earth.”
He reads this as referring to Sabrina, who is half-human, half-witch.

What does the Herald of Hell prophecy mean for Sabrina?
When the Dark Lord returns to earth in the final episode of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season two, Mephisto Waltz, he tries to turn the Herald of Hell prophecy into reality.
In order to open the gates of Hell, he tries to crown her as the Queen of Hell and get her to blow the horn that will open the gates of the underworld.
She does this, but the Dark Lord is stopped by Nicholas.
He traps the Dark Lord inside his body and is then plunged into Hell, seeming to put a stop to the Herald of Hell prophecy.
WHERE IS CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA FILMED?
However, as the Dark Lord has not been vanquished, but merely trapped in Nicholas, he could still get Sabrina to bring about the apocalypse.
Even if she does not help the Dark Lord, she could still have a part in the rise of the new Dark Lady.
Lilith has taken over the Dark Lord’s role when he was trapped in Nicholas.
The new Dark Lady could have her own plans to open the gates of hell which could involve the Herald of Hell prophecy.
