Contestants from season 5 reunited, with each baking Martha Collison a special cake for her big day

Contestants from season 5 of The Great British Bake Off reunited Saturday to celebrate the wedding of one of their own, and shared a sweet series of snaps marking the occasion.
Martha Collison, 22, tied the knot with her fiancé, and extended invitations to fellow contestants Nancy Birtwhistle, Richard Burr, Chetna Makan, Claire Goodwin, Kate Henry, Enwezor Nzegwu, Iain Watters, Diana Beard and Jordan Cox.
“My baker pals come together for beautiful Martha’s Wedding Day. It was amazing,” winner Birtwhistle wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the whole crew.
Luis Troyano and Norman Calder were not in attendance, though Birtwhistle gave them a shoutout, writing, “Missed you @luisthebaker and Norman x.”
The former competitors, whose season aired back in 2014, all appear to have baked a special cake for Collison’s big day.
Birtwhistle whipped up a prinsesstårta, a traditional Swedish layer cake, and topped the pink confection with flower decorations.
Goodwin, meanwhile, crafted a three-tiered chocolate cake that she topped with various chocolate treats like chocolate-covered pretzels.
A table displaying all of the desserts revealed there was also a lemon cake, a cardamom white chocolate pistachio cake, a Biscoff cake, a pistachio and raspberry cake, a chocolate lime raspberry cake, and more.
“Such a wonderful beautiful day celebrating the wedding of @marthacollison and @mbhaywood27,” Henry wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for the most magical day. Loved baking your cake, seeing my delicious #bakeoff #gbbo family. Five years on and the best of pals still.”
Collison, who was still a high school student when the season aired, married Michael Haywood Saturday at Sullington Manor Farm in Sussex, United Kingdom after he popped the question in January 2018.
“He decided 3 years together wasn’t quite enough, so he asked for a lifetime,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “And I said YES! @mbhaywood27, I can’t wait to be your wife!”
