You can spend the night at the Louvre Museum and it sounds incredible

Airbnb's latest listing is sure to be a hit with art lovers!

That's because the bookings website is offering up an overnight stay at iconic museum The Louvre in Paris.

In fact, you'll be staying in the world-famous glass pyramid which stands tall outside the entrance.

Guests will get to explore the museum after hours when it's closed off to the public, and will even get a private tour with an art historian. (A privilege that has previously been extended to the likes of Barack Obama, as well as Beyoncé and Jay-Z).

Of course that means you'll get to take in iconic artworks such as the Mona Lisa without having to battle through the crowds, not to mention you'll get to experience the museum unlike any other visit.

Following the tour, guests will receive a Renaissance inspired aperitif, while relaxing on a sumptuous Parisian lounge sofa and listening to French music on vinyl records, before dining on an extravagant feast in a pop-up dining room.

Oh, and to top the night off? There'll be an intimate acoustic concert in Napoleon III’s lavish Apartments right before you retreat to the pyramid for bedtime.

Sound like your dream trip? The Louvre Museum stay will be open for one night only on Tuesday 30th April, but you'll need to enter the Airbnb competition for a chance to win the stay.

To enter, just head to Airbnb's Louvre listing before the 12th April at 10.59pm UK time, and say why you would be the Mona Lisa's perfect guest.

Anne-Laure Béatrix, Deputy Managing Director of the Musée du Louvre, said: "We are happy to offer this unique and special experience for two people to stay in the museum overnight, in a bespoke pyramid shaped bedroom.

"We know that many people would love the opportunity to wander alone at night through the Louvre and we want this to be a magical and unforgettable experience.

"With Airbnb’s partnership, we hope to encourage more people to discover how truly accessible and inspiring the wonders of art can be."

Emmanuel Marill, General Manager Airbnb France, added: "Paris is one of the most attractive cities in the world and the Louvre is one of the most loved and celebrated institutions in Paris.

"We are thrilled to partner with them and to offer exciting and unique experiences that will celebrate our community and welcome Parisians and international travellers to rediscover the museum in a new and authentic way."
