Declan Donnelly, 43, welcomed the arrival of his first daughter Isla with his wife Ali Astall, 41, last year and it seemingly appears the couple have got “straight back in the game” with regard to their sex life. Presenter Stephen Mulhern, 41, dished on the happy couple in a candid interview where he revealed Dec had made a cheeky comment to him during the filming of the new series of Britain’s Got Talent. Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I was asking him questions: ‘Have you changed the nappy yet? How long before you get back to a bit of nookie?’“Do you know what he said to that? ‘As soon as possible – you’ve got to get back on the game straight away!”
Stephen who is a host on Britain’s Got More Talent on the ITV2 spin-off show, also revealed the BGT team have been teasing Dec about his role as a new father by getting him to dress up as a baby on set.
He told the publication: “Then we got a man-sized nappy and made him put it on so Ant could show us his nappy-changing skills.
“So Dec put a nappy on Ant and, I’ve got to be honest, he was actually really good at it.”
Meanwhile, Dec will be reunited with his co-star Ant McPartlin as they return to the Britain’s Got talent stage next month.
It is the first time the BGT stars will be back together on TV after Ant took a year out from his work commitments following his drink-drive conviction last year.
Earlier this year, the pair were pictured at the auditions for the ITV series.
The pair shared a selfie of themselves together as they beamed at the camera which was captioned: “#BGT 2019.Audition day 1. The boys are back in town!”
Fans rushed to comment on the presenters return as one fan wrote: “Yes! So happy to see this.”
Another person replied: “Thrilled to see you back and looking so well @antanddecofficial.”
While a third person commented: “Yes! Welcome back Ant we’ve missed you @antanddecofficial.”
The pair have not appeared on-screen together for almost a year with Dec wrapping up their self-titled show, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway final on his own.
Last year, Holly Willoughby stepped in to temporarily replace Ant on the ITV show, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
The duo were announced yesterday as nominees for the British Academy Television awards, despite Ant’s hiatus.
The hosts will be joined by judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden when the series makes a return.
Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV in April.
