Suzi and David Essex were on the This Morning sofa to talk about their Legends Live tour.
But as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield did a link for their upcoming interview and the camera cut to the pair of them, Suzi had spotted a blunder on one of the ITV programme’s monitors.
“My name was spelt wrong!” Suzi exclaimed as she pointed toward a screen.
“Suzi’s name is spelt wrong. Her name is spelt wrong!” Phillip repeated as he continued: “We saw that, how cross you were then.”
That better not go out on the screen
Suzi Quatro
It was clear Suzi wasn’t happy as Phillip addressed the unexpected situation.
“That better not go out on the screen like that!” she fumed.
Phillip replied: “It’s live Suzi, it’s already gone out but we’ll correct it in a moment.”
“Has it really gone out like that already?” She probed as Phillip said it hadn’t.
It looked as though her name was only spelt wrong on the presenters’ autocue as when the show returned Phillip told Suzi to stop reading it.
He declared: “If you stop reading the autocue… no one would know that its on there, its only us that can see it!”
Those watching at home were quick to notice Suzi’s annoyance and branded the situation “awkward”.
One wrote: “Well, that last link was a little bit awks wasn’t it? @Schofe @hollywills #thismorning.”
“Suzi Quatro is so not happy #ThisMorning,” another observed.
A third tweeted: “Ooh Susie Qwatrow is not a happy camper. #ThisMorning.”
“#thisMorning blunder = and awkward encounter. Ouch,” a fourth shared.
A fifth announced: “#ThisMorning after that reaction I’ve gotta see this interview.”
“@Schofe telling her to stop reading his autocue haha #ThisMorning,” a sixth laughed.
“Oooopppsss Suzi Q is not Happy, she is going down devil gate drive, #thismorning,” a seventh joked, referencing one of Suzi’s hits.
Suzi and David discussed their music and Phillip couldn’t help but make another joke about the incident.
As he held up their album, Phillip laughed: “Name’s spelt right on there!”
“Well it better be,” Suzi retorted.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
