EX EastEnders star Sam Strike has bagged himself a huge Hollywood role after turning his back on Walford four years ago.
The former soap star has reportedly been cast as the lead in Stephen King's Dark Tower TV series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the 25-year-old star will play Roland Deschain.
Idris Elba played the hero – also known as The Gunslinger – in the 2017 action movie alongside Matthew McConaughey.
The show's movie history shouldn't put too much pressure on Sam given that Idris' film was critically-panned.
Amazon Prime Video have been working on turning the eight-book series into a live-action TV series with former Walking Dead boss Glen Mazzara.
Like the novels, the show will follow The Gunslinger's quest towards the mystical tower.
Since quitting the BBC One soap he's already had a taste of Hollywood after starring in Netflix crime series Mindhunter.
He's also had a recurring role in short-lived sci-fi series Nightfliers, created by Game of Thrones' writer George RR Martin.
Sam played Danny Dyer's son Johnny in EastEnders for just over a year between 2013-2014.
Despite his short tenure in Albert Square, he received praise for his performance – especially for sensitive scenes that saw him come out to dad Mick.
After Sam's departure in December 2014, former EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins said he had no plans to recast Johnny and that the "door was wide open" for his return.
However in February 2016 the soap announced actor Ted Reilly had been recast for the role.
