Girl’s face goes bright purple like ‘Violet in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ after Huda Beauty makeup fail

Amanda Whitrock, from Missouri, was out playing laser tag when she snapped a few selfies.

She was shocked to discover her flawless make-up glowed purple under the black light.

Amanda, a press officer, shared two photos of herself with a purple face, alongside one of her with perfect make-up.

She captioned it: “Don’t use the HUDA baking powder if you plan on doing laser tag.”

Her post has gone viral since she uploaded it to Facebook, racking up more than 5,000 shares and nearly as many comments.

It appears the powder, thought to be the £28 HUDA Easy Bake loose Powder, reflected the darkness instead of the light from the camera flash.

But Amanda isn’t alone, with someone commenting: “I work where we have a blacklight booth, almost all makeup looks crazy in it.”

Another said: “Have you worn it under a black light?”

Despite the reasonable explanation, people have compared Amanda to a range of characters.
