Even Cher can’t resist a little Fixer Upper!
On Tuesday, the music icon tweeted that every now and then, she likes to catch up with the stars of the HGTV show, Chip and Joanna Gaines, and follow along with their lives raising five kids.
“Once in a while I like to check in, & see what’s happening With Chip, Joanna & Kids,” the Grammy-winner wrote, followed by a smiling emoji surrounded by hearts and the hashtag #FixerUpper.
Chip spotted the singer’s tweet and responded with a sweet family update on his and Joanna’s children — sons Crew, 8 months, Duke, 9½, and Drake, 13, and daughters Emmie Kay, 8½, and Ella Rose, 12 — and affectionately referred to the the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again actress as “Auntie Cher.”

While Cher is known for her over-the-top fashion choices, the performer may see something of herself in the couple’s no-frills lifestyle in Waco, Texas.
Talking about her on-stage persona compared to her private life, she told PEOPLE in September, “It’s not a difference in exactly who I am, but it’s a heightened reality. You know, you can’t go around being glamorous Cher all the time.”
“I go around just in my sweatpants. I don’t go around in makeup, I have my hair in a ponytail — I like my off time,” she added. “I like not being glamorous. I like just being grubby.”

Cher, along with other fans of the Gaineses, won’t have to use Twitter to keep up with their lives for long. Chip and Joanna announced in November that they’re going to launch their own television network in collaboration with Discovery, which owns HGTV. However, the couple has not revealed a timeline for the project.
“I just wanted to make a quick announcement. We are coming back to television,” Chip said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “You are going to get to see the kids grow up, you are going to see us, well maybe a six-month delay like the rest of the world, but we are excited to be back.”
