John Mayer Announces Summer Tour (and Shows Andy Cohen His Third Nipple)

John Mayer had a pair of reveals to make on Sunday night’s episode of his Instagram Live show Current Mood, one more unexpected than the other: 1) he’s hitting the road this summer on a North American tour and 2) he has a third nipple.

Welcoming pal Andy Cohen to the program, Mayer and the Watch What Happens Live host recapped Cohen’s epic weekend baby shower before jumping into the matter at hand: how the musician could generate press for his own show. After calling Cohen “the master of making headlines,” Mayer asked for a hand in getting articles like this one published.

“I have a new show starting to kick up, Andy, help me,” Mayer, 41, said. “How do I make this get picked up based on something that was said or asked?” Though Cohen initially suggested the guitarist talk about his exes, the two quickly moved on to a “world exclusive reveal” — Mayer’s third nipple.

“I have three nipples. This is a Current Mood first,” Mayer joked, lifting his shirt to reveal his “supernumerary nipple,” which an incredulous Cohen immediately poked at. “You’re on a list with Mark Wahlberg now,” he added.

As Cohen’s segment ended, Mayer sent the dad-to-be off with a gift for his soon-to-arrive baby boy — a pair of moccasins from Visvim, Mayer’s favorite brand.

It was the second present for the baby from Mayer in a week. During a surprise appearance Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last Monday, the musician — who initially bonded with Cohen over a shared love of the Grateful Dead — presented his close friend with a guitar, which he personalized during the show.

“John wrote, ‘I have never met you yet I already love you,’” Cohen revealed. “So sweet. What are you, a songwriter or something?” “Still got it,” Mayer quipped back.
