Emmerdale stars blast eBay user selling their free signed photographs online

Official shots of the cast of the ITV soap are being sold online for serious money despite being available for free from the show.

Actress Louisa Clein – who plays paedophile teacher Maya Stepney on the show – posted a screenshot of one auction from the website marketplace with a warning to fans not to buy.

She wrote on the Instagram caption: "You can get this for free if you write to Emmerdale.

"Please don't pay £26 on eBay! I'll happily sign pics for people but for them to be sold on to make money …… well that's just rude!!!! #emmerdale"

Fellow Dales star James Moore quoted her comments and added his own, insisting he personalised all pictures so they couldn't be sold online.

He tweeted: "Don’t buy my signed photos on eBay. There shouldn’t be any on there because I personalise them all but I return and sign all the post I get so please just write to me."

Fans were outraged at the discovery free pictures were being sold online for cash, and commented supporting Louisa.

One wrote: Good on you for saying this, I’ve sold cast cards on eBay and done it with 100% of money raised going to charity.

"I hate it when people sell things like this for personal gain, vulnerable people paying a ridiculous price for something which can be obtained for free. Keep being amazing on Emmerdale xx"

How to get a signed picture from the Emmerdale cast

Actress Louisa Clein revealed fans should write to this address with a polite request for signed photographs from the cast.

Include your name and address on a stamped and addressed envelope so they know where to send the pictures to.

Emmerdale, ITV Yorkshire, Kirkstall Road, Leeds, LS3 1JS

A second added: "It’s so rude, isn’t it! I see these a lot and there’s even personalised ones! Some people will do anything for a quick buck. No shame. xx"

A third wrote: "Well said about time someone stood up and said something… People making money from someone else x"

Although fans were outraged, former Emmerdale star Mike Parr saw the funny side of the situation commenting: "Listen I’m out of a job. Let me make my money."
