The former Manchester United star made the announcement in an interview posted onto social media alongside his stunning Australian missus.
Hernandez, 30, said he wants to have "three kids" in five years before Kohan added "maybe four".
The smitten Mexico ace then said: "In these interviews I can be myself, free and loving her.
"The truth is I think the most powerful energy in the world is love."
When the interviewer then asks the pair if they have anything to add, they both announce at the same time: "We are having a baby!"
Hernandez has no children to date and seemingly started dating model and travel blogger Sarah, 24, last year.
They hooked up while Hernandez had bleached blonde hair at last year's World Cup.
In the interview, Sarah confessed: "I didn't know who he was when I met him but I was very attracted to the very blonde hair."
Hernandez laughed: "I knew that blonde hair would help in something!"
Australian beauty Sarah often posts sexy photos to her 1.3million online followers – and counts "being naked" as one of her favourite things.
Sydney-born Sarah is a law graduate as well as being a model and blogger.
Hernandez has been linked with a move away from West Ham, with Spanish giants Barcelona and Valencia reportedly interested in his signature.
