A source explains that the 40-year-old has grown tired of constantly bickering with the pair, declaring: "It's better for everyone if they get along."
An insider revealed: "Katie’s saying she wants to make a fresh start in 2019 and get along with her kids’ dads.
"She’s tired of constantly fighting over every little thing and doesn’t want to get into rows in front of the kids."
The unexpected development will come as a relief to the pair, who have had to endure near-constant sniping from the reality star.
Katie's stance towards cheating Kieran softened after he agreed she can spend Christmas Day with their kids Bunny, four, and Jett, five.
Meanwhile, Pete will be glad to hear there will be no more attacks on his wife Emily, who was told: "Bind your beak" after making a dig at Katie's drinking last month.
The source continued: "She’s always having a go at Kieran when he drops Bunny and Jett off.
"But after he was so flexible over Christmas arrangements, she’s decided it’s better for everyone if they get along.
"It’s the same with Pete – she regrets lashing out at Emily on Twitter last month and wants to make amends in the new year.”
Last month Kieran and Katie reached a compromise with their children following their May separation.
Kieran was set to have them over the Christmas period following a turbulent few months for Katie – which included a stint in rehab and financial woes.
However, Kieran agreed that Katie can have her two youngest children on Christmas afternoon to stay overnight – provided she changes the reason for their divorce from adultery to irretrievable breakdown on the legal papers.
A source told The Sun: "Kieran is adamant that he doesn’t want adultery on the divorce papers because of his children and up until now Katie has sworn blind that she will make sure it is on there.
"He came up with this compromise that they call it a marriage breakdown instead and then she can see more of the kids."
However, Katie has said nothing about Alex Reid, who she once named as one of the "three b***hs" who torment her.
