Peter Barlow and Carla Connor’s on-off romance looks like it might be back ON as the pair look set to enjoy a sexually-charged New Year’s Eve.
But will it last?
Peter takes ownership of an old snooker club on Victoria Street, but is warned by Kirk and Dec that it is haunted.
However he manages to get his own back on them by playing a trick on them by placing an eerie skull in the dark room, which sends them fleeing.
Peter thanks Carla, who had a hand in scaring them off but she warns him that the snooker hall is a money pit.
Carla then challenges him to a game of snooker, telling him that if she wins he has to pull out of the sale.
The electric chemistry between them quickly becomes evident and as temperatures rise, they relive their past.
But will they be able to admit their feelings for one another?
The next day, Peter tells Ken and Simon that he has pulled out of the snooker deal.
He is shocked, however, when a delivery man calls at No. 1 with a gift from Carla – a boat.
Peter thanks Carla for her gift and tells Simon that he plans to restore it and sail around the Caribbean. He also reveals he hopes Simon will come with him.
"He sees is as a way to leave, but it’s a dream," actor Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter, explains. "That’s the sad thing, he’s working on this boat with the idea of ‘I’m going to do this up and I’m going to leave all this behind’.
"That’s the great thing about it, why he’s put so much work into it, it’s the tragedy of what happens."
Corrie airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
