Hilaria Baldwin Explains Why She’s ‘Too Lazy’ to Skip Workouts

As a yoga teacher and wellness coach, Hilaria Baldwin has a great workout tip for staying healthy over the holidays — and it’s not skipping the food! “I am a believer in being able to enjoy and try everything,” the 34-year-old told Us in NYC on Monday, December 3, “but also staying active every single day.”

The reason for her stay-moving strategy is simple: “I never like to get to a place where I have to work harder later,” she continued. “So if I don’t move my body and I eat in a way that, later on, makes me work harder, I’m too tired for that. So I try to stay fit because I’m too lazy to have it be any other way.”

But the mom of four doesn’t necessarily get to the gym or yoga studio every day: “I have a daily practice on my Instagram. I do these found moment workouts, where, you know, being a busy mom I don’t always have time to go to the gym for a full hour. So I will do, you know, five minutes here and two minutes there and three minutes later.” Every little bit adds up, she notes: “Those that I put on my Instagram all together can equal a full workout.”

Baldwin shared her easy holiday workout tip with Us at the Hilaria Baldwin x Carbon 38 Om For Cause event to benefit Girls Inc. — which marked the first class she taught since she welcomed her fourth child, son Romeo, in May 2018. “There’s no better way to teach yoga than for a good cause. And I haven’t been able to get back to teaching since after the baby because I’ve been a busy, busy mom,” she said.

The fitness influencer — who told Us at the same event that she’s excited to welcome Justin Bieber to the Baldwin family — also shares daughter Carmen, 5, and sons Rafael, 3, and Leonardo, 2, with husband Alec Baldwin.

It feels good. Try it. Whether you are super active like me, or have to sit at a desk all day, these are two great daily stretches. Note a few things: I’m making 90 degree angles with my legs in the first stretch. Also, I’m pressing my tailbone forward. The second stretch I’m keeping my knees slightly bent. ?❤️? #wegotthis2018

The Girls Inc. yoga class was a welcome event. “I’m excited because it feels really worth it,” she gushed. “If you look into the room and there’s candles and everyone’s excited, you know there is no better way to move and sweat and breathe for a good cause.”
