KSI turned down I'm A Celebrity before joining Formula E's YouTube coverage

KSI, Olajide William "JJ" Olatunji, will team up with fellow stars of the internet to cover season five of the all electric series.

But before turning to presenting Formula E's new show, the YouTuber turned down ITV's hit show I'm A Celebrity.

Speaking at Formula E's season five launch event in London, KSI said: "I am extremely excited, it's something new and something different.

"I got called to do I'm A Celebrity, I was tempted to do that but I didn't.

"I am always a guy who wants to innovate and show I can do anything."

KSI has experience of delivering live sport on YouTube after competing as part of the biggest white-collar boxing fight in history against Logan Paul.

More than 15,000 fans were inside the Manchester Arena for the bout, while a massive 784,000 bought the event on YouTube pay-per-view.

KSI will co-host the first race of season five which is in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia, on December 15.

KSI, who boasts 19 million YouTube subscribers, is confident his audience will become fans of Formula E.

The 25-year-old said: "I was told by my friends there is this new thing, they said 'it's like Formula One but better', so I thought it sounded very cool and I was very intrigued."

KSI joked: "It will be cool to see, not destruction! But it would be cool to see a bit of tussling here and there [on the track].

"It's unpredictable so I think that's what is exciting about it."
