Mum-of-three Kate, 36, is said to have taken the sweet three-year-old to see the Royal Ballet rehearse for The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House in London last week, before it officially launched on Monday.
Kate is known to be a fan of the ballet and also watched The Nutcracker last year.
This year, the Duchess of Cambridge is said to have worn a black turtleneck and grey, midi tartan skirt, while Charlotte donned a white dress with puff sleeves.
The visit wasn’t an official engagement and the experience is likely to have been held privately for the royals.
Princess Charlotte is said to have developed a love for dancing, so the day out seems like the ideal Christmas treat.
Kate previously spoke to English National Ballet director Tamara Rojo about her daughter’s passion for dancing, and said: “She absolutely loves it.”
And Princess Charlotte and Kate aren’t the only ballet lovers in the family, as Prince George is also a fan.
The five-year-old prince is currently attending St Thomas' Battersea where ballet lessons are believed to be compulsory.
He has a 35-minute lesson each week with a specialist teacher, who teaches dance accompanied by a live pianist.
The youngster's grandmother, Princess Diana, also loved ballet and longed to be a children's dance teacher.
Sadly, Diana's dreams were quashed after a skiing accident during a family holiday on the slopes when she was just 18.
The Nutcracker opened on Monday night and will run until January 15.
The Sun Online has contacted Kensington Palace but they declined to comment.
