According to reports Facebook is down and users are having problems logging in to the site. The UK seems to be badly affected with Outage Report showing areas of disruption across the whole of the UK.
Reports are coming from many UK cities that claim the social network is inaccessible.
Downdetector has also noted a large increase in complaints from people who are unable to access the service.
Some users have panicked, concerned that the social network has been hacked, however these concerns seem to be related to login troubles.
Those trying to reset their password were unable to do so, which is probably related to the login issues.
It claims there are 44 per cent of users with a total blackout while 44 per cent also claim they can’t log in.
One claimed to have been logged out on the desktop service with an error message which read "An unexpected error occurred. Please try logging in again".
As well as the UK other affected countries include Belgium, Hungary and Italy, with Milan worst affected in current reports.
