Team Sky have launched their new kit for the 2019 season, with the outfit heavily inspired by the Sky Ocean Rescue campaign.
The kit, which is manufactured by Castelli, features a blue to black gradient, in a nod to the Ocean Rescue project, as well as the logo on the jersey’s collar.
Sky Ocean Rescue aims to shine a spotlight on the issues affecting ocean health, find innovative solutions to the problem of ocean plastics, and inspire people to make small everyday changes that collectively make a huge difference.
The names of Team Sky’s riders have been moved to the side of the jersey, as has been the case on previous kits.
Team Sky principal Sir Dave Brailsford said: “We’ve enjoyed another fantastic year of collaboration with Castelli and are delighted with our new look for 2019.
“This year’s jersey is a special one for the team as we enter our tenth year on the road. The design is befitting of that landmark and we believe this year’s kit will be our best performing yet.”
Team Sky have been one of the most successful sides in the peloton in the last decade, winning six of the last seven Tour de France titles, as well as one Giro d’Italia and one Vuelta a Espana.
