After almost two weeks of relative peace, the I’m A Celebrity camp finally erupted this evening and one unlikely suspect was at the centre of it all – Nick Knowles.
From rows about wood to women’s underwear, the DIY SOS presenter sparked a number of feuds this evening.
Of course, one of the campmates he was first to clash with was Noel Edmonds as they rowed once again about wood.
After his meditation, Noel headed to collect wood to keep the camp fire burning.
However when he got back, Nick asked him who he went to get the logs with.
When Noel said that he didn’t go with anyone, Nick reprimanded him saying: "Noel you are not allowed to leave camp without someone, that’s one of the things that will lose us the task."
Noel teased him back: "Well maybe I didn’t leave camp na na na na na."
Meanwhile Nick fumed: "I keep telling him he’s not to leave camp on his own and he keeps leaving camp on his own."
While picking up more logs for camp, Noel said in the Bush Telegraph: "There’s Nick getting his knickers in a twist because he thinks I left the camp. He can be such an arse at times."
Arriving back at camp, Noel called out: "Coooeeeee, I left the camp again."
Later, a pair of knickers that had been drying dropped on the floor and were spotted by Nick.
However he said that he didn’t feel comfortable handling them and asked John to hang them on the line.
But a confused John replied: "Why do you feel uncomfortable? It’s just an item of clothing, it’s not inappropriate. It’s fine to hang a pair of women’s knickers on the washing line."
Emily piped up by saying that she appreciated Nick’s old fashioned chivalry.
"I understand how a man would feel awkward picking up a young woman’s knickers he hasn’t known for very long," she said.
But John pointed out: "Then why is it ok for me a gay man to pick it up but it’s not ok for a straight man? It’s just a piece of clothing!"
He added: "Touching a pair of knickers doesn’t mean you want to have sex with them, there are no sexual connotations at all, she might have a problem with me picking up her knickers but I don’t have a problem with it, I do laundry, it’s no big deal!"
Nick also shocked viewers by saying the girls would be "a bit jumpier" because it was their "time of the month"
Rita had sparked a heated discussion as John made rice for lunch as she insisted that four portions was not enough.
John was taken aback and said in the Bush Telegraph: "That came out of nowhere, all of a sudden people wanted more rice which is fine but it was the way it was approached like it was the blame of the cooks who were doing it."
Later Nick told John: "Remember the girls are going to be a bit jumpier because of what time of the month they told us it is. We’re going to have that for a couple of days with the girls. "
Looks like tension in camp is finally boiling over…
