Sick paedo raped girl, 12, on 'weekly basis' while his sister watched – and 'rewarded' her with £5

Sick Dennis Moore, 71, was caged for 19 years for abusing the schoolgirl from when she was 12 into her early twenties.

A second victim was abused by the evil paedophile between 1997 and 1999 from the age of 12.

His sister Susan Truscott, 64, was jailed for 10 years.

Leicester Crown Court heard she would watch the “lonely and vulnerable” first victim being raped and abused – and sometimes allowed her brother to fondle her at the same time.

Moore regularly rewarded the victim with £5 – which Truscott later confiscated.

Jailing them, Judge Timothy Spencer QC said: “You are sister and brother.

“You should examine your consciences and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to do so over the years.”

Describing their actions as “shameful”, he said they “sink to the depths of perversion and depravation”.

He said: “She [the victim] wasn’t some object to be used for your sexual gratification whenever you felt like it.

"Susan Truscott, you were procuring her as a sexual object.

"You must have derived yourself sexual gratification, not just voyeurism."

The girl was attacked from the age of 12 in 1985 continuing into her early twenties.

The judge went on: “She (the first victim) has led a blighted life and a miserable life.

"She was violated, unloved and abandoned and it's not particularly surprising she presented as a troubled child, which at times must have been almost impossible to bear.

"How she has managed to have pulled through in the way she has is remarkable and it's praiseworthy."

The second victim, who was also 12, was targeted by Moore who befriended her outside shops.

The victim’s mum was in hospital and unable to care for her.

She spent time outside local shops trying to cadge cigarettes or get people to buy them for her.

Moore picked up, exploited her and turned her into a “sexual plaything”, the court heard.

The judge said: “You exploited her as your next victim”.

She was forced to commit sex acts and was raped by Moore in exchange for cigarettes.

Judge Spencer told Moore: “You have absolutely no insight into the damage you've wreaked on both these women."

He said the victims suffered severe psychological damage that was "deep and lasting".

The defendants denied the allegations.

Katya Saudek, defending Moore, said: “He's 71 and in declining health with early stages of dementia.

"He knows he faces a long sentence and it may result in him not coming out of prison because of his age and significant difficulties.

"There's another side to this man as there so often is in these cases.

"He has a wife of 50 years who's dependent on him; his children and grandchildren have all stuck by him.

"He's been a good parent and grandparent to them.

"He's been a working man throughout his life and has no previous convictions before or since these allegations."

Michael Garvey, mitigating for Truscott, said: "She's had a very difficult life and suffers from depression and has other conditions including diabetes and high blood pressure.

"She's fearful she won't see the light of day.

"She's concerned about how her family with cope without her."

Leicestershire Police chose not to release a picture of Truscott.
